Fall 2009 BBQ Fundraiser
On Saturday, October 3, HorseFriends hosted the Third
Annual Fundraiser, and the community joined us for an afternoon of BBQ,
music and fun. Thank you for your donations, your time, your prayers,
and your efforts on behalf of HorseFriends, our horses, our clients, and
our volunteers!

Fall 2008 BBQ Fundraiser
On Saturday, September 20, HorseFriends hosted the
Second Annual Fundraiser, inviting the Triad community to join us for
BBQ, Bluegrass, and barrels of fun!
It was a wonderful day - the weather was cool, crisp,
with a vivid blue sky. We enjoyed the music of Bobby Atkins and the
Countrymen. Families, and especially kids, got to scoop "poop," bob for
apples, go on hayrides, see mimes, and enjoy the day!
Also we raised about $2700 for the work of HorseFriends!
This nearly 20% more than last year. Thank
you to everyone who came and everyone who volunteered!

Fall 2007 Brunswick Stew Fundraiser
On Saturday evening, October 20, HorseFriends hosted the
Triad community with food, fundraising, fun folk music (pictured right) and fun!
 It was a beautiful day
and we made lots of contact with people who had never heard of us
before! The children met our miniature donkey, Eeyore (pictured left).
Also we raised about $2300 for the work of HorseFriends! Thank
you to everyone who came and everyone who volunteered!

Receives Boggs/Mitchell Award
 from the ARC of High Point
In July, 2007, HorseFriends was presented the
Boggs/Mitchell Award as a community organization that provides a year
round, challenging and inclusive recreational/leisure-time program.
